Absences and Tardies
Per the new email system, you will receive an email from me with the below scripted message. If you receive this message, please call the office as soon as possible with an excuse so we can accurately document any excused absences.
"This email is posted as a courtesy to inform you your child was not present in our classroom when attendance was posted. –Dear Parent, –I have just posted attendance for our class. At the time this email was sent to you, your child was marked “absent” and is not in my classroom. –Reasons your child may not be in my class at this time include illness, doctor appointment, family obligation or tardy. If you know your child is tardy, no worries….he/she is on the way to class. –Please call the school office immediately at 732-9200 if you believe your child is not tardy and should be on campus at this time. Thank you."
Transportation
For transportation changes please send in a handwritten note for your child. Changes in transportation often happen mid-day and unexpectedly. If this occurs, please **notify the office** with either a phone call or an email (512) 372-9200 or [email protected]). Feel free to 'cc me as well, but the priority email should go straight to the office, as I can not guarantee I will receive the email in time to notify your child. The office will hand deliver a note to your child to ensure that he or she receives the message. This will avoid any confusion and will get your child home the correct way.
